Sound Cartel has been involved in the electronic music scene for more than 20 years combined. Driven by the passion for their unique sound of House Music, they have joined forces to bring you quality music, quality DJs, and quality events.

Marshall Jones started out in the scene in mid 99′. Just like a lot of people who are drawn in by the scene, Marshall was all about dancing and enjoying the nightlife. The more he wanted to dance, the more in depth he became with Electronic Music in general. He immediately thirsts for the knowledge and sought out for answers through the guidance of Hotwax Harley and the Radiance group. He then began promoting for the NC Triangle area premiere Wednesday night event. This then led to the an itch in Marshall to play records. Marshall then shifted gears by moving to Orlando in 2003. That is when he linked up with numerous House groups and explored the Orlando nightlife. He became a well known element in the House community and then in 2004 took up an internship with the global known label based out of Chicago known as Large Music. 2 years later, him and his best friend Ian Lee saw they were on the same path when it came to it and created the Orlando dynamic duo called Soulidified Music.Then they joined the DJ group called J.H.I. which is based out of Orlando. Then in 2008 Marshall moved to the birth place of House Music, Chicago, where he took in teachings from some of the best. With 9 years of DJing and House Music knowledge under his belt, Marshall is dedicated to Large Music, Soulidified Music and the whole House Music world. “The thing that I cherish the most out of House Music is that I am not apart of a culture, but more apart of a global movement”. DJ Nugz started ripping up dance halls in NY. Playing a mixture of Hip-Hop, Freestyle, Dancehall, and House. Nugz showed an intense hunger for music and DJ’ing. Under the expert tutelage of his brother Hans and his brother’s best friend, he learned the art of mixing and became part of their crew. Later, Nugz went on to tear up dance floors across North Carolina with his signature Nu-Skool and Tribal Breakbeat sets. He returned to Miami (one of the legendary hubs for EDM culture) to pursue graphic design. Since then he has returned to the roots of house (and to the Triangle Area), on a motivated path to expose the masses to deep, funky, latin and soulful House.

DJ Nugz has played with Roy Davis Jr, Halo Varga, XL, Julius the Mad Thinker, Johnny Dangerously, Mario Romay, Jask, and at The Winter Music Conference in Miami.
